cPanel overview
A tour of every major section in cPanel — files, domains, email, databases, security, and software.
cPanel is the control panel included with every Hoststack.pro hosting plan. It gives you a graphical interface to manage every aspect of your hosting without needing to use the command line.
Access cPanel from your client portal → Services → Login to cPanel, or directly at the URL in your welcome email.
Files
- File Manager — Browse, upload, edit, copy, move, and delete files directly in your browser. Your website files live in
public_html. - Disk Usage — See which folders are consuming the most space.
- FTP Accounts — Create FTP users with restricted access to specific folders. See the FTP guide.
- Git Version Control — Deploy code by pushing to a repository hosted on the server.
- Backup / JetBackup — Create manual backups and restore files or full accounts. See the backup guide.
Domains
- Domains — Add, remove, and manage addon domains, subdomains, and aliases.
- Redirects — Permanently (301) or temporarily (302) redirect URLs.
- Zone Editor — Manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT) if you are using our nameservers.
- Subdomains — Create subdomains like
blog.yourdomain.compointing to any folder.
- Email Accounts — Create and manage mailboxes (
[email protected]). - Webmail — Access email from a browser using Roundcube or Horde.
- Forwarders — Forward incoming emails to another address automatically.
- Autoresponders — Send automatic replies when you are away.
- Email Filters — Route or delete messages by rule.
- Authentication (SPF/DKIM) — Improve email deliverability and prevent spoofing.
Databases
- MySQL Databases — Create databases and assign users with specific privileges.
- phpMyAdmin — Manage databases visually — run queries, import/export SQL, edit tables.
- Remote MySQL — Allow external IP addresses to connect to your database.
Security
- SSL/TLS — Issue, manage, and force HTTPS for your domains. See the SSL guide.
- Hotlink Protection — Prevent other sites from embedding your images or files.
- IP Blocker — Block access from specific IP ranges.
- ModSecurity — Web application firewall (WAF) rules — enable or disable per domain.
- Two-Factor Authentication — Protect your cPanel login with an authenticator app.
Software
- Softaculous / Installatron — One-click installers for WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop, Magento, and 400+ apps.
- PHP Selector / MultiPHP — Choose a PHP version per domain and adjust

- Node.js / Python — Available on supported plans via cPanel's application manager.
Logs & metrics
- Error Log — View recent PHP and server errors for your account.
- Awstats / Webalizer — Visitor statistics and bandwidth usage.
- Resource Usage — Monitor CPU, memory, and I/O on CloudLinux-based servers.
