In accordance with Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the original IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2011 under the Information Technology Act, 2000, HostStack is required to publish the details of a designated Grievance Officer. Acknowledgement
24 hrs
We acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 24 business hours.
Resolution
15 days
We endeavour to resolve all complaints within 15 days of receipt.
Types of Complaints We Handle
- ▸ Illegal content — requests to remove content that violates Indian law (e.g. obscenity, defamation, CSAM, sedition)
- ▸ Copyright / IP infringement — DMCA-style takedown requests for content hosted on HostStack infrastructure
- ▸ Privacy violations — requests relating to personal data correction, erasure, or data breach notification under the DPDP Act, 2023
- ▸ Abuse / spam — reports of phishing, malware distribution, or spam originating from HostStack-hosted resources
- ▸ Service / billing disputes — escalations not resolved via standard support channels
- ▸ Government / court orders — lawful requests from Indian government agencies, courts, or law enforcement
How to File a Complaint

Include your full name, contact number, the nature of the complaint, and any supporting evidence (screenshots, URLs, etc.).
Receive acknowledgement
You will receive a written acknowledgement with a complaint reference number within 24 business hours.
Resolution
We investigate and take appropriate action within 15 days. Complex matters involving third parties may take longer; you will be kept informed.
Law Enforcement & Government Data Requests
Lawful data requests from Indian government agencies, courts, or law enforcement bodies must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Requests must include:
- • The requesting authority's official letterhead and stamp
- • Applicable legal provision (e.g. Section 91 CrPC, Section 69 IT Act, court order number)
- • Specific data sought and the period covered
- • Signed by an authorised officer of the requesting agency
HostStack cooperates with lawful requests while protecting user rights and privacy to the maximum extent permitted by law.
