VPC Private Networking India.
Isolated. Secure. Fast.

Create isolated private networks between your HostStack VPS instances in Mumbai. Keep your database, cache, and app servers communicating privately — never exposed on the public internet.

VPC networking features

Private IPv4 Network

Each VPC gets a dedicated RFC-1918 private subnet. Your instances communicate using private IPs — no public internet routing between your own servers.

Isolated Traffic

VPC traffic is isolated at the network layer. Other customers on the same hypervisor or VLAN cannot see or intercept communication within your private network.

Multi-server VPC

Add multiple VPS nodes to the same VPC — web servers, database servers, cache layers, queues. All communicate privately over the same isolated segment.

Free Internal Bandwidth

Traffic between VPS instances on the same VPC in Mumbai is unmetered and free. Your database queries, cache hits, and internal API calls cost nothing extra.

INR Billing + GST

VPC is invoiced in INR. GST invoice with GSTIN issued to your account. Supports UPI, net banking, and cards — no foreign currency fees.

Mumbai POP

Private networking operates within HostStack's Mumbai facility. Sub-millisecond latency between VPC nodes on the same physical infrastructure tier.

Common VPC use cases

DB Server Isolation

Run your MySQL or PostgreSQL server on a VPS with no public IP at all. Only your app VPS (on the same VPC) can reach it — port 3306 is never exposed to the internet.

Multi-tier App Architecture

Separate your load balancer, application servers, database, and Redis cache onto different VPS nodes, all connected via VPC. Industry-standard architecture for Indian SaaS and e-commerce.

Secure Backend Services

Internal microservices, admin APIs, and monitoring agents communicate over the private network. No firewall rules to punch through public IPs — the private network is the boundary.

VPC networking FAQ

What is a VPC and why do I need one for my Indian VPS?
A Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) creates an isolated private network between your VPS instances. Your database server, app server, and cache layer communicate over a private RFC-1918 IP range — never touching the public internet. This eliminates exposure of backend services and is the standard architecture for any multi-tier production application.
Is traffic between VPS instances on the same VPC free?
Yes. Internal VPC bandwidth between your HostStack VPS instances in the same Mumbai region is unmetered and free. Only egress to the public internet counts toward your bandwidth allocation. This means your app server can query your database server as many times as needed at no extra cost.
Can I add more than two servers to a single VPC?
Yes, multi-server VPC supports adding multiple VPS nodes to the same isolated private network. Typical deployments include a web/app tier, a database tier, and a Redis/cache tier — all communicating privately without public IPs between them.
When will HostStack VPC be generally available?
VPC private networking is currently in development. Join the waitlist via the contact page and we will notify you when it opens for your account. Existing VPS customers will be offered early access before public launch.
What is the difference between a private IP and a VPC?
A private IP is just an address in a private range (e.g. 10.x.x.x or 192.168.x.x). A VPC is an isolated network segment — traffic within your VPC cannot be seen by other customers even if they share the same physical hypervisor. VPC isolation is the security guarantee; a bare private IP without VPC isolation may still be routed on a shared internal VLAN.
