Domain Registration Overview

You can register a new domain directly through Hoststack and manage it from the same client area as your hosting — no separate registrar login needed. Here's what's available and how pricing and renewals work.

• Free WHOIS privacy protection on supported TLDs, hiding your personal contact details from public lookup

• First-year promotional pricing is often lower than the standard renewal rate — check the renewal price shown before you buy

Renewals and auto-renew

Domains are registered for a minimum of one year and must be renewed before expiry or they stop resolving. Auto-renew is on by default in the client area — you can toggle it off per domain under Domains → Manage if you'd rather renew manually. We send renewal reminder emails 30, 15 and 5 days before expiry so you're never caught off guard. A domain that lapses fully can enter a redemption period with a higher recovery fee, so renewing on time is always cheaper.

Transferring a domain you already own

Already registered elsewhere? You can transfer it to Hoststack once it's at least 60 days old and unlocked at your current registrar. Get the authorization/EPP code from your old provider, start the transfer from your Hoststack client area, and approve the confirmation email — most transfers complete within 5–7 days.
