Common Questions
Do you provide trading bots or strategies?
No. Hoststack provides server infrastructure only — VPS hosting where you run your own trading bot code and API keys. We don't offer trading strategies, signals, or custody of funds, and this isn't financial advice.
Is it safe to store exchange API keys on the VPS?
We recommend generating API keys with trading permissions only (not withdrawal permissions) and using IP whitelisting to restrict key usage to your VPS's static IP — a good security practice regardless of where you host.
Which exchanges can I connect to?
Any exchange with a public REST or WebSocket API — Binance, WazirX, CoinDCX, and most others. Since this is a general-purpose Linux VPS, if your library supports it, our server can run it.
Can I run backtests without affecting my live bot?
Yes, on the Trader and Pro plans you have enough CPU headroom to run a backtest or optimization job in a separate process alongside your live trading bot.
What happens if the VPS restarts unexpectedly?
We recommend configuring your bot with PM2 or systemd so it auto-restarts and reconnects to the exchange API automatically after any reboot, minimizing downtime.
