Ping Test — India Server
Test your network latency to Hoststack's Mumbai server. Find out how fast your connection is from your location.
Measures how long a request takes to reach our server and return. Not true ICMP ping — useful as an HTTP latency indicator.
Expected Performance
Typical Latency by City
Approximate ICMP ping times from major Indian cities to our Mumbai data centre.
| City | Expected Ping | Rating |
|---|---|---|
| Mumbai | 5–10 ms | Excellent |
| Pune | 8–14 ms | Excellent |
| Kolkata | 5–12 ms | Excellent |
| Bangalore | 8–15 ms | Very Good |
| Chennai | 10–18 ms | Very Good |
| Delhi | 15–25 ms | Good |
| Hyderabad | 12–20 ms | Good |
| Ahmedabad | 10–18 ms | Good |
| Jaipur | 18–28 ms | Good |
| Chandigarh | 20–30 ms | Good |
Actual latency depends on your ISP, routing path and network conditions.
How to Run a Ping Test
Use native ICMP ping for the most accurate results. Open a terminal/command prompt and run:
ping ping.hoststack.in ping -n 100 ping.hoststack.in
ping ping.hoststack.in ping -c 100 ping.hoststack.in
ping ping.hoststack.in ping -c 100 ping.hoststack.in
pkg install inetutils ping ping.hoststack.in
MTR / Traceroute (Advanced)
MTR combines ping and traceroute — it shows each hop in the path to our server and the latency at each hop. Useful for identifying network bottlenecks.
mtr ping.hoststack.intraceroute ping.hoststack.in
tracert ping.hoststack.inpathping ping.hoststack.in
Speed Test Files
Download test files from our Mumbai server to measure your download speed.
Files served from Mumbai, India. Your download speed in MB/s = file size ÷ download time in seconds.
